6,000 Men were killed.
10,000 Men died in camps from infections and diseases.
8,500 Men died as prisoners who had been captured.

  The  battle between the Americans and the British was very fierce. In many ways 25,000 Americans were killed over the course of the war. The ways of torture were being captured and murdered, diseases, some died in prison, and a bunch of people went missing. The final battle where the Brittish surrendered was the Battle in Yorktown. Payments for the war were mainly taxes forced by the king. Those payments were used to buy weapons and other equipment for the war. Here is a chart of the Americans killed during the war.
