DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE WAS A DOCUMENT THAT EXPLAINED THE REASONS FOR THE COLONISTS TO BE AGAINST THE BRITISH RULE, IT ALSO IS THE DOCUMENT IN WHICH  THE AMERICAN COLONIES DECLARED THEIR FREEDOM FROM THE BRITISH. THE OPENING OF THE DOCUMENT IS CALLED THE PREAMBLE AND IT STATES THE RIGHTS OF THE COLONISTS. IT ALSO STATES THAT THE GOVERNMENT COULD BHE OVERTHROWN IF THE RIGHTS OF THE COLONISTS WERE VIOLATED. SOME OF THE MAIN PEOPLE WHO SIGNED THE DOCUMENT WERE jOHN ADAMS, SAMUEL ADAMS, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, AND JOHN HANCOCK. THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE WAS WRITTEN BY THOMAS JEFFERSON BETWEEN JUNE 11 AND JUNE 28, 1776, THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IS A MAJOR SIGN OF LIBERTY TO THE uNITED sTATES OF aMERICA. JEFFERSON EXPRESSED THE THOUGHTS OF THE AMERICANS HEARTS AND MINDS. SOME OF THE THOUGHTS THAT ARE AN THE DOCUMENT WEREN'T OLD THOUGHT, THEY HAD BEEN EXPRESSEDBY JOHN LOCKEAND THE CONTINENTAL CONGRESS.

WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES, IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION,  ESTABLISH JUSTICE, INSURE DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY, PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENSE, PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE, AND SECURE THE BLESSIGNS OF LIBERTY TO OURSELVES AND OUR POSTERITY, DO ORDAIN AND ESTABLISH THIS CONSTITUION FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

MOST OF ALL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCEWAS  A DOCUMENT THAT STATED THEIR BELIEFS AND PRACTICES AND HOW THEY DIDN'T WANT TO ABIDE BY THE BRITISH RULE.
