| How: | The British Parliament said that Massachusetts to be in rebellion. The British took action to this, and the Revolutionary war started soon afterwards. |
| Why: | The British government passed laws saying that they had more control over the colonies. The colonies strongly tried to resist the laws and especially the tax laws. The American colonists were very disobedient to the British government. |
